Cooking rice, as in Asia!

1 – It is best to buy fragrant rice (Thai or otherwise), preferably in an Asian shop and certainly not a large area because it was treated, so that cooking can not be properly under the old traditional recipes.

Preferably do not buy the basmati rice, which is dedicated to Indian cuisine.

2 – Wash the rice to remove a little starch.

3 – Put the rice in a pot, regardless of quantity.

4 – Add the cold water about 2.5 cm above the rice and cover.

5 – Cook on high heat to boil water.

6 – Water should evaporate and bubbles soon appear on the surface of rice. It will have to carefully follow cooking and never mix your rice as in danger of turning into sticky rice, which is not to advance your goal.

7 – Cover again and cook over low heat until cooked rice about 15 to 20 minutes.

The Asian salt nor poivrent their rice to cook.
