A chat room is a virtual place on the Internet where people from all walks of life around the world can meet in one place and text chat with one another. The only two things a person needs to connect to a chat room is a computer and an Internet connection of any speed. Because chat rooms are where so many different types of people gather to communicate with one another, certain rules must be implemented to keep the peace.
